The Counselling Department at LTSS assists students in their developmental journey through their academic, career, personal and social challenges. The LTSS Counselling Team works closely with students, staff, parents and the community with the goal of helping students develop the qualities they need to become self-reliant, responsible individuals.
Counsellors also provide assistance with program planning, timetable concerns, post-secondary information as well as information about summer school and online learning. We have access to a wide range of community services, and we can assist in suggesting resources for families, parents and students who need on-going counselling or therapy.
Counsellors are now taking appointments through our online appointment booking website. To access the appointment booking website, click the link next to your counsellor’s name. Counsellors are meeting in person with students. Parents can access their student’s counsellor through email or telephone. Most student appointments will be in person. Some grade 12 students who have study blocks can choose to meet with their counsellor through Microsoft Teams. For simple inquiries, students can communicate with their counsellor through Microsoft Teams chat or by email.
